# Vocode

> UK price tracker: daily retailer prices, 30-day price history for every product, and the price after the best live voucher code.

Vocode tracks prices for UK retail products. Every day we read retailer product feeds, store one price reading per product per day, keep a rolling 30-day history, and calculate the "true price" — what you would actually pay with the best live voucher code for that retailer. Prices are only recorded when they change.

**Data status:** the catalogue currently contains clearly-labelled SAMPLE products (source `DEMO`) with generated price series so the interface can be reviewed before retailer feeds are connected. Treat their prices as illustrative, not real market prices.

## How the data is produced

- Daily ingestion of affiliate product feeds (Awin CSV format).
- One price reading per product per day; unchanged days are stored as gaps and carried forward.
- Best live voucher code chosen per product (respects minimum spend; new-customer-only codes never set the headline price).
- Stats recomputed after each import: current price, 30-day low/high/average, % change, code saving.
- Product URLs are affiliate links; this never changes the price the shopper pays. See /affiliate-disclosure.

## Machine-readable endpoints

All endpoints return JSON by default and Markdown with `?format=md`. No auth. Prices in GBP.
